Communications & Social Media Committee |
Communications & Social Media Committee will strategize, plan and execute programs for effective dissemination of the Research Committee’s output; amplify the messages and augment the popularity of the SCH portal. This would involve SM (Social Media) campaigns of reaching out to right audiences and the media and on other forums (including the SCH events). The Committee will make (acquire) short clips which could be shared on SM; make available translations or sub-titles on videos etc. Events, seminars, debates and outreach programs will provide opportunities to build relationships with media and institutions. The Committee will need to create and engage volunteer WhatsApp Groups to discover and counter false narratives and hate mongering. Committee will need constant interaction with i) Research Committee to develop requisite responses (to malicious propaganda) and also with creative people to prepare messages and video clips and ii) Events Committee to utilize the relevant content created by SCH and build relationships with participants of media and institutions. Citizen volunteers interested in forming or linking existing WhatsApp groups are encouraged to connect with this Committee. EMAIL: SCH-CSM-Com@gmail.com |
Executive Committee |
Governing Body or the Executive Committee will define, communicate and enforce the Society’s policies. It will guide and oversee all other Committees and programs of SCH. It will approve admission of members to all committees. It will take responsibility for the overall governance of SCH. EMAIL: SCH-Executive-Com@gmail.com |
Partnership & Membership Committee |
Partnership & Membership Committee will concentrate on increasing SCH membership across all segments – of geography, qualifications and influencing potential (celebrities). The Committee will have to overcome the reluctance of many competent, qualified and conscientious people to come forward and become SCH members; speak up or participate in SCH activities. For quick impact, it is imperative for SCH to identify and partner with other activist organisations with some synergy; co-promotion as well as collaborative events may be explored. SCH portal provides for online enrolment of partners; it will provide for listing of partners and also their events. Partner network building requires collecting lists, and enlisting support of the organisations. The Committee will also liaise with all Partners at appropriate levels. Portal Committee |
Portal Committee will not only keep the portal’s technical performance and availability at a high level, but more importantly, it will filter the content through its editorial and legal teams; it will also create processes to take down content in response to genuine complaints. People may contribute or support the Committee from any of these domains: editorial, creative, content creation capabilities as free lancers; they could support editing articles and video files. The Committee will interact with all other committees and particularly the Executive Committee, to ensure that SCH portal is always in sync with the SCH policies. EMAIL: SCH-Portal-Com@gmail.com |
Programs and Events Committee |
Programs and Events Committee will play a critical role in the success of SCH's information dissemination efforts and raising voices against the tsunami of divisive propaganda. The events this Committee will organise for debates, lectures, seminars in universities, group discussions at clubs, conclaves with political spokespersons, art exhibitions, focus group discussions, Workshops etc. will amplify or animate the SCH’s messages. Event volunteers will have to be engaged in maintaining relationships with the participants and other influencers and for mobilising participants and attendees. In addition, Events Committee could constitute teams of volunteers who will get an opportunity to express their artistic or organisational skills; for e.g. in organising street dramas, poetry recitations, padyatras and other innovative methods of reaching out to the youth. Events Committee will strategise and organise events enumerated above and also the SCH National and State level conclaves and meetings. EMAIL: SCH-Programs-Com@gmail.com |
Research Committee |
Research Committee is tasked with sourcing, vetting and creating resources in a shareable repository; write scholarly articles or compile statistical reports which could be published on the SCH portal as “Knowledge Base” articles or as blogs with author’s names – to promote communal harmony or to counter fake news and narratives with fact checks. The authors may be SCH Members or contributing members of the public. The Committee will also research Frequently Asked Questions and provide succinct answers with references. Interested citizens are encouraged to share relevant research work, opinion pieces, survey data, speeches or video clips that serve to further the causes of SCH. The Committee members will use the Research Committee Forum of the SCH portal to create and discuss topics of interest. EMAIL: SCH-Research-Com@gmail.com |
