ACTION PLAN
To achieve the stated objectives of the Society for Communal Harmony, the following action plan is prepared for discussion and approval of the members of the Society. This is a document which is going to be updated frequently based on progress and experience of the guiding Committees at the National and State Levels. The portal www.sch.org.in will be used to support the critical functions of a) enrollment of members and affiliate partners, b) organisation building, c) aligning the thoughts and actions of members through collaborative working, d) creating and managing an accessible repository of relevant information resources, e) reaching out to citizens through proactive enlightenment campaigns, f) encouraging citizens to report and write on issues of communal harmony and g) advocacy of specific causes, legislations and policy formulations consistent with the vision of building a secular and inclusive society
Immediate (1-10 days)
- Completing the profiles of senior committee members and collecting the membership fees
- Naming the members of defined Committees
- Activating the dormant bank account and linking it on the website
- Setting up administrative support cell and moving website to a faster server
Short-term (two months)
- Enrolling eminent members and friends
- Registering Affiliates on the website (for co-promotion of events & programs)
- Setting up State Committees and WhatsApp Groups
- Collecting articles and talks – tagging them and publishing on website
- Mobilising funds for operations (amount TBD)
- Website SEO to commission
Medium-term (six months)
- Phase-2 of portal development
- Conducting events and programs, including talks and debates

- Enrolling celebrities; conducting or sponsoring relevant programs – arts, music
PRESENT STATUS
- WhatsApp Groups for many States have been setup; Each Committee will try and enroll more members
- Website is ready for collaborative working - to use Forums; contributions of articles, videos may be submitted
- YouTube Channel & Facebook presence is established; the links are visible on the website - these may be promoted by all members
- Team in place to produce creative videos on communal harmony–12months target: 5000
- Well-connected group of activists with access to Celebrities, academicians, speakers should try to enroll them and engage with SCH
- List of potential contributors, authors, books prepared by the Research Committee - to share on Forum
Guidelines
SET UP TEAMS
Teams have been identified in over 10 plus States. These State leaders must be empowered and motivated to identify and convince competent people to join the effort for their value addition in the following major committees:
- Coordinator in each State who will coordinate with the various Central and State committees to ensure planning, implementation and support.
- Research Committee: to help factual facts and data flow. CHARTER: collect articles on Gandhi & leaders & facts on independence; write articles;
- Partnership Committee: to identify and partner with all activists to dovetail and leverage their efforts into the main objectives and provide facts and CHARTER: collect lists, Khadi, define type of partnership; enlisting support,
- Communications Committee: to propagate facts and engage in discussions with people CHARTER: Emphasise on Social Media by setting up state wise reps to collect & fwd; float topics; effective counter; links with research group; motivate with people to setup WhatsApp groups; Facilitate articles to be printed; participation in discussions in TV and other programs; periodic dissemination of updated focussed data to members; translations; Strategy.
- Events Committee: to provide platforms for data dissemination. CHARTER: organise lectures, debates in Universities, clubs etc; speakers at various Workshops, books, topics, conferences, seminars to push the agenda. Organise street dramas, shows to attract the youth.

- Population myth that Muslims will overrun Hindus
- False narratives on Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose; Nehru: Sardar Patel; Ambedkar; Rabindranath Tagore
- Discriminating laws to polarize people - hijab; Muslims & temples; distortions in text books - education;
- Attempts at changing historical facts
- Casteism; ill effects of polarization and Hindu Rashtra
- Name changes disrespecting truly Indian patriots
Membership Drive
- National Task force should make efforts in states where there are no volunteers.
- State volunteers must prioritize finding people for all the above committees even as they undertake limited activities below.
- States must build District level organizations with at least one person in each district.
- Advisable to identify and convince good people to join to emphasize on quality and not quantity. Preferably young people
- Prepare list of influencers, donors, helpers etc.- share on Forum so that members who can, may approach them
Partnerships to be established with key organizations
- Initiate partnership discussions in each State with NGOs, Gandhian organizations, institutions working in similar or complementary domains
- Interface with all political parties including BJP to educate them on facts
- Submit Events and Programs of Affiliates in Forum so that Admin may enlist the approved ones for co-promotion
Repository building – with tags for searching
- Collect data on Authors on the priority topics, list of subject matter experts & publications.
- Develop short pamphlets or Memes for dissemination - through news paper vendors or SM (Social Media)
- Submit all of the above material on the portal using your credentials so that Admin may approve quickly
Communications group
- Set up WhatsApp groups of different states, teams, cross teams etc.
- Organize interviews and debates on TV and lobby to get people of the SCH to be included in these workshops.
- Develop 2–3-minute videos on prioritized subjects and submit these in the portal with proper tags
Events
- Each State to organize at least two national level lectures in colleges, youth camps etc and at least one or two state level lectures and follow up contacts.
- Organize cultural events to attract youth around social harmony including music sessions, plays and other such organisations.
- Identify major events in their State and attempt to position national speakers to talk on the topics.
- Organise small focused groups; chai pe charcha and other such events; debates, competitions
- Organise Padayatras in Villages and other important places to take the message to the people in each State.
Strategic and Process issues
- Prepare Strategies for each of the Committees in consultations with State Committees
- Prepare processes for each of the activities to ensure smooth implementation and information dissemination
- Organise fortnightly coordination meetings of all Committees and Coordinators
- Organise monthly planning and review sessions
